Alexia Featherson-Hore is a judge at the Crown Court in London. She has sent people to prison for offences such as drug possession and GBH. The first time she did it, she thought about that person sitting in a cell. Prejudice is everywhere even if you're a senior barrister arriving at court,. Just the daily grind leaves you thinking whether you would have done this if the silk standing in front of you was a white woman or white man.
