The line between Dev and Ops is already very blurry. So you can very well make that a spot of your CI. Uptime monitors are something I think totally makes sense. We have every minute we make the call to our event system to make sure it's up. It also took us a lot of effort to get it to zero downtime, which wasn't it out of the box.
