How to Write a Good Novel

But there is also a strong way to learn about writing fiction that requires almost no extra time out of our day and not too much effort. Ask ourselves what is the writer doing that is keeping me reading? What's the author doing? Or maybe we can ask the reverse. Why isn't this novel keeping my interest? We can learn something while we read if we'll take a moment to notice things while reading. This may in fact be a wonderful and productive way to learn to write.
