Why Did Chinese Stick?
Alison's grandfather was into international affairs, so she wanted to learn all the languages. She spent a lot of time in middle school learning japanese and eighth grade chinese. In high school her teacher played the bajing olympics for us as part of our foreign language programme. It left such a deep impression on her that she decided to start speaking chinese. Alissa: "I can just see my own personal victory based on this experience"
