The Camouflage Looper

A caterpillar called a camouflage looper. Emily Graslie first came across one of these camouflage loopers when it was no bigger than the end of my pinky nail. She's been projecting those stills onto large canvases like three by five feet. And then I'm making giant paintings of tiny tiny bugs in order to force people to look at what I am seeing and to also be like, wow, that's cool.
