Protests Against the Government's New Police Crime, Sentencing and Court's Bill
The pol crime, sentency and courts bill has passed its third reading in the house of lords. Opponents say it will effectively criminalize most forms of civil disobedience if successfully passed through parliament. It would mean protest that a too noisy or causing too much annoyance could be shut down. The 307 page bill also threatens to criminalize gipsy roamer and traveller groups if they pitch up on private land. All this despite a major ongoing housing crisis.
