The 16th year of my age insert by Frederick G. Williams is nothing to be concerned about at all, he says. It throws no suspicion on the account itself. Some people have taken this passage to say, well, Joseph Smith hadn't developed the idea that God the Father and Jesus were separate by 1832. But I think there's a number of reasons why that argument doesn't hold water. And it seems pretty clear from that that he's already seeing God and Jesus as separate.
