Sagittarius a Star - A Star That Has Nothing to Do With Stars
In the 1930s, astronomers noticed radio signals coming from the direction of the center of the galaxy. It wasn't until 1974 when they found the specific one that was the strongest radio signal. But it wasn't named Sagittarius A Star until the 80s. And then it wasn't confirmed as a black hole until decades later. The Nobel Prize in physics was given to two scientists for their work in confirming that Sagittius A Star was in fact a black hole.
