Let's Learn Everything!

CHAPTER

Celluloid in Film

celluloid was used for film manufacturing between the 1800s and early to mid 1900s. When they put it in the projector, it kept on setting on fire. The stuff ended up taking a lot of people's lives because it would regularly cause fires in cinemas. One really sad example that I found was in 1929 when over 120 people passed away at an Ohio hospital from burning down their x-ray machines. It's funny because, you know, we, I joked about like plastics is used for everything. And now I'm amazed to hear that plastics was used forEverything. It really is.
