The Importance of Repetition
Repetition for Lacan is a retroactive process. An entity or an event can only be repeated at a later date. In a future relative to its present moment, when it will have become the origin of that repetition and a lost origin. The subject as an enunciating subject only shows up in and always vanishes before the site of the grammatical subject.
