I am having a hard time understanding the real Jackie during the Onassis years. It just seems like a point in her life where she's trying to define herself. Her public persona is not working anymore. She can't keep up that brand. I do not have any happy feelings about this time in her life at all. The marriage was falling apart very quickly after it happened in the first place.
