How to Calculate a Standard Deviation in Monte Carlo
It actually takes more computational power to calculate a standard deviation. The steps that go into counting a percentile is count the number of things that happened and divided by the total number of things. That's your percentile. So, it is so much cheaper for. I don't even know why we're worried about CPU cycles today, but so much easier and cheaper to calculate a percentile than it is to calculate astandard deviation.
