Ellen White's Inspired Writings

In her writings, she is dependent on the Holy Spirit. So they're divinely inspired though, like Saint Paul and other biblical authors, she isn't simply taking dictation from God. She's subjectively choosing her own words, though she may use quotation marks to indicate things that were told to her by an angel. The Ellen G. White Encyclopedia notes that Ellen similarly stated, although I am as dependent upon the spirit of the Lord in writing, my views as I am in receiving them.
