Is There a Primary Affect in Robotics?

Saratonan uses the same electrical signalling neura transmitters as a nervous system. Involves all sorts of problem solving and stress responses that are not apparent in three dimensional activity. But i think there's a lot of intelligence happening that at some point may or may not be associated with some kind of primary affect even if it's not physical action.
