How to Catch a Sturgeon by Accident
Travis and Steve are the two guys who caught the last sturgeon accidentally a decade ago That's the first time I had seen one. Once a month Steve or Travis would take a boat out to the middle of nowhere To abandon the river where the fish's transmitter was pinging and park on top of it. For a whole day and night every 10 minutes they would measure where the fish was It was exhausting work Travis says And pretty boring and hot But they learned some stuff They learned that sturgeon can travel like 40 miles in a day If everything worked out just right they could start a broodstock and save the species but even if sturgeon were plentiful Steve says it's still
