The King's Army
Jesus' transfiguration is the fulfillment of Daniel chapter 7. He's not himself as king who wants an army of those who love him and are willing to give their lives for him. The point is, we mustn't think of the transfiguration as this kind of one-off event. Like Peter, we need to love him with all our hearts. And then like James, we're in an army under the echas and direction of this king. We got to be ready to give our lives for him."
