The Importance of Portfolio Management

Project managers need to be in touch with the portfolio people, understand what they are looking for at this point in time. Even as a product leader, maybe a product VP, I would want our portfolio to have funding allocated for receiving new ideas too. The project manager being connected and understanding that landscape helps them make that adjustment and be more agile inside of the product world.
