Elbert sydney johnson was a calvary guy and he's quite a horseman from what I understand. During that battle he jumped his horse over some timbers And when he landed he could feel the bullet so then he went back to the doctor and they actually removed the bullet at that time Wow So the moral of that story is we figured out that Tourniquets were needed in the civil war and basic Medical training would have saved elbert sydny johnson.
