The Role of a Data Scientist in a Small Team

The main soft skill is communication skill in my opinion. For analysts, I think probably for all the positions, writing documentation is important. The more person he talks to the business side of things to the user, then they need to have a slightly different set of communication skills. What roles do you see dependent on the size of the team? For example, would you see a machine learning engineer in a small team or edit on later in development?
