The First Steam Locomotive

The first commercially successful steam locomotive was the twin cylinder Salamanca. Designed by Matthew Murray in 1812 using John Blenkin-Sop's patented design for rack propulsion. It reached 45 kilometers per hour while transporting 30 passengers. And this is like really where it gets real, right? And this was George Steffensen, famous English engineer who created locomotion.
