The Importance of Weather Forecasting
Weather forecasts have a set granularity both in terms of geospatial resolution, right? So highly accurate weather forecasts at this point are like in a one kilometer resolution. And then more global models are on the order of magnitude of eight or 10 kilometers. The typical temporal resolution of those models is one hour and for some models, it's 15 minutes. Those type of events that matter are the one I just discussed,. Like a big change in radiation impacting solar output during data. Another one that's very interesting is a high wind speed weather front.
