It Is Impossible to Avoid Race
i think, in the end, what the purpose of all this work is to find ourselves at a place which seems distant from doctor king's other idea that we ought to be judging on the content of character and not the color of the skin. And so as i deep dives in american history, it is impossible to avoid race. I've done a film on baseball. Could i not then talk about the negro leagues and jacky robins? No, we have to be telling each other's story and listening to each other's stories, which is the hall mark of what we do. There should be no impediments for people.
