Coaches, You Are Not the Coach
If your kid wants to play college sports, make sure they think as much about the coach and the culture of the programme. And all the while, remember the most important thing, you are, not the coach. The best advice i got on this, there's a parent coach named mary smith,. She says, here's the thing to say when you see or your child after a game, just say, i love watching you play. That's it. Don't say anything else. It's like a script. You don't want to send that signal. So be the parent, ike, leave the coaching up to the coate. Yes, it's so hard.
