The Evolution of Yeast

It was only 600 million years ago that animals were started to be made up of multiple cells so it's considered one of these pivotal moments in biology. A team at georgia tech they were basically swirling yeast cells around in a tube and the ones that sank to the bottom quickest would be used to grow the next day's yeast. The idea was that by selecting the clumps of cells they would be evolutionary incentive for cells to stick together take it this all worked otherwise we wouldn't be talking about it.
