The Gay Is Right, the Gay Is Lacanian
The gay is an interesting concept. So that is developed first in seminar 11 and the gays is one of the versions of the Abje'a. What's interesting is in film studies, thinking that it was based on Lacan, they're developed this whole notion of gays as oppressive. And I tried to wrench that concept back into the Lacanian turf and understand it in terms of the way we relate to what we see on the screen. But in the way that the filmmaker often, most often controls,. like so, my favorite example probably is the end of Citizen Kane where we see the object that has been the quest of us as spectators.
