There are cases of elevated liverenzimes and jaundice at as low as 750 milligram s per day of nicotinic acid, but almost all severe cases of liver toxicity are in the range of three to nine grams per day. Nausea, vomiting and headache have been reported from nicatin mide at doses as low as three thousand milligrams per day. And severe signs are extremely rare with nicotin mide, or nia cinamide, as it's also marketed, and are only reported at over ten grams perday.
