Why Did Michael Jordan Sell the Utah Jazz for $3 Billion?
Ryan Smith, who bought the Utah Jazz in 2020, said he googled what the current Forbes valuation was for the team and then offered them that number. The question isn't really why did Michael Jordan sell the team for $3 billion? I think the better question is why did Gabe Plotkin and Richnall buy the team for$3 billion? There's obviously some negatives to this deal, but there are a lot of positives too.
