The Psychic Mechanism of Bisexuality

Freud's theory that we're all bisexual in some way was the main thesis of his quasi analyst, Wilhelm Flice. And so he started with the idea of bisexuality. He can ground it biologically because they're only slowly differentiated into what ends up being masculine and feminine to a certain degree. But then we understand all of the variations and there's intersex and there's hermaphrodism and so on and so forth. So he's able to ground it biologically, but then make it a psychic mechanism.
