How to Get Oxygen on the Moon

Our biggest limitation on getting to space, and then getting to the moon from there, is fuel. The majority of the weight of the fuel isn't actually the fuel itself, but the oxidizer we've born with it which is typically oxygen. 42% of the moon's mass is oxygen, tied up in the rocks like silica, silicon dioxide or alumina. We also need oxygen to breathe, so looking at how we get oxygen on the moon will be our first topic.
