The mediaeval king of england had no experience of kind of ruling or being a king, or l the responsibilities of kingship. So lot of that he had to learn em. And probably wolstan was one of the most significant people and kind of shaping him into a king. He did become em sort of much admired a king, and someone who was, for centuries afterwards, renowned for the justice of his laws.
