Worship in a Changing Moral Practice
Israel seems to view its worship as a sort of flattery or bribery of the lord. The mosaic covenant came with blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. In practice, they would become progressively worse as the people resisted the lord's correction. Where is not, worship can be little more than whitewashing tombs,. masking, deeply defiling uncleanness rather than dealing with it.
