How Far Out to Sea Will a Bird Go?
The birds which are the most significant are terns and noddies. Once you get within about 30 to 50 miles of shore, you will start to see some familiar species that are somewhat reliable. You s not just like you see the birds and then you immediately know what's up. If you see booby birds, frigate birds, terns and notties, you know you're close. But you can't really use their flight paths and behavior throughout the daytime to know which direction land lies. So what do you do? Will y have to use time of day. These species roost on land, and they have to return to solid ground daily. I almost like living lighth
