Dorothy and allen moved to beverly hills and signed a deal with paramount pictures. Parker was forever changed by the experience, evermore engaged in social justice causes as the years went by. In 19 35, parker wrote the lyrics to a song that was used in the film the big broadcast of 19 36,. A song which became a major hit for being crosbie, i wished on the moon. She set up a committee and raised money for a defense fund for nine black tenaters in alabama who had been falsely accused of raping two white women in 19 31. The press called them the scottsborough boys.
