The State as an Autonomous Image
The state is a semi-permeable envelope of limits, while society is a social and cultural fractal that's dispersing through the constituted or legal demarcation of power. The idea here is that they are entangled, but within the limits of the state is how our society moves. And in this way, the state manifests our desires and promotes our disfunctions. It champions the aesthetic into manifesting its archetypical cliche. We're enacting a series of deadlocked morality plays.
