China's Rivalry With the West

The potential is there for China to be like that, but at the moment it's just a brutal dictatorship. The political momentum will not stop because of the rivalry over the next couple of decades. As China inevitably passes the US, the Chinese government now has a program that they're targeting certain industries and research areas such as biotech and AI. And they're pouring the billions into these areas to not just catch up, but to dominate.
