The Conquest of Jericho

The conquest begins in Joshua chapter two. The sequence of conversations where they're repeating God's word back to one another is important for establishing the context of how this conquest will take place. It's on the basis of God's promise and it's in obedience to God's word. That's what's central in the conquest, not military might.
