The Challenges of Translating a Game in Japan
English has so many dialects, and each of them are specific to that region. It's really difficult for a translator to be able to understand all these different English dialects or slang terminology. A lot of things that he's saying, the translator will miss because they haven't grown up around this kind of English. The Scottish accent is usually seen as, you know, a little rough. But when you think about why the devs chose it, you can kind of see the characteristic they were trying to go for. So, just focus on the character and make that come through in the translation.
