The Relationship of Jesus to the Father
In Isaiah 59, the Lord looked and was displeased that there was no justice. So his own arm achieved salvation for him in spite of their sinfulness. And then in verse 21, he also says, ask for me, this is my covenant with them. God's posture towards you and I is not disgust. In fact, those sinners are his closest friends. This is why Jesus has called a friend of sinners.
