The Value of Consensus in the Church
Do you like the idea of an evangelical consensus or do you think it's not a good idea we should aim for as a church? I'd say how much I like it sort of depends on what things constitute the consensus. If the consensus is this just enormous tent where people can hold views that I would consider to be heterodox and are still allowed in the tent, then I think the consensus is probably is self-defeating. And so I think it's misleading to suggest there that people who hold radically different views of the Bible are in the same tent that I'm in.
