India had extensive trade with the greeks. And india had things that everyo as wanted. India saw nature and the earth is sacred. So whatever growth happened, happened slowly. It happened over centuries, and the environment was never, ever destroyed. If you try to recreate the same system to day, it will take time to reach the same levels of prosperity. The rest of the world follows capitalism. That's why india is now.
