Are They Just Perceived?
There's no brown in the rainbow at all. The purpose of this is that the brain is interpreting light and turning it into something that we can understand. Brown is only there as the colour of a surface of an ob t that has to be seen in the context of other objects. So if you look at the wave lengths of light that get reflected from a brown object, there'll be in the yellows and orange range but it's almost like it's a darker orange than you could ever have as purely a light.
