The Origins of Egyptian Pyramids

During the 26th century BCE a new pyramid was built at a site called Giza which was further north than Dasher and Sakara. The pyramid would ultimately become the pinnacle of Egyptian pyramid building. It would remain the tallest man-made structure in the world until the construction of Lincoln Cathedral in the year 1311 CE. Why did snefrew build so many pyramids? We're not completely sure. What we can be sure of is that the successful construction of snefrew's pyramids would lead the Egyptians to have the fundamental knowledge of how to take on bigger building projects.
