The Importance of Peripheral IV Access

When I-O goes in, it's incredibly important to recheck how well the flow rate is going because sometimes we overestimate how much we can get through them. If they're not flowing well, then you certainly should be looking for another I-O. And when they do start to flow, it does not mean that you're satisfied with that as your exclusive point of vascular access. But rather go back and check maybe that vein in the arm suddenly pops out and you can actually get some venous access from there.
