True crime now is a huge genre and there's debates to be had around it. But was this a thing in ancient Rome? Were there ever any murder cases that everyone got really excited about or interested in? There might be a whole lost genre of writing because we know they had like newspapers and gazettes that were passed out but none of them survive obviously. So they may well have been this popular theme of cool and interesting crimes.
