The Long Arm of the Law for Rome

Constantine's life and Rome are not as well documented as the reigns of other important emperors. We do know that detailed historical accounts of the period were written in antiquity, but very frustratingly, these have not survived or only in fragmentary form. What we do have tends to be quite polarized, either Christian writers who are very pro-constantime or pagan authors who are hostile.
