Is It a Morphology or a Punctuation?

There are probably some particles in some languages that simply They could be reinterpreted as um As punctuation particles, but we choose not to. Or japanese has uh wa and ga uh for between the topic and the and the predicate Um, and uh, and pardon me if I get the terminology wrong. The one thing that really marks this as an oddball That you seldom see um In natural languages.
