The Autism Spectrum
We have 100,000 people in the UK currently waiting for an autism diagnosis. Autistic people have a really diverse range of experiences and there's a lot of diversity that exists within what we call the autism spectrum. Some people do go private, cost thousands of pounds to do so; it's not a particularly regulated sector. And even if you do get that diagnosis, local authorities might not recognize that diagnosis.
