The Importance of Career Shifts
Jamal: I switched careers from, with the music degree and for. period of time, like seven or eight years, I was a professional musician. Jamal got into game development because my roommate's boyfriend was working on an educational video game for the government. He asked me in this interview to take a course at this thing here that I didn't actually know how to do. And so he ended up being hired as a JavaScript program developer by his friend who had been watching him build these games.
