GM's Custom Interface Is a Fair Trade-Off in Value
Rivian and Tesla consider themselves software companies the same way Apple does right into fully integrated product companies. I think in Rivian's case up to the CEO level who really do care about the experience enough that that and they really think it is the best move for the customers. At GM this decision there might be people at GM who really are looking forward to designing their custom interface who think they can do a good enough job. But I think the decision was clearly made by people looking at the numbers and their CEO has even said that they're looking to generate 20 to 20 to 30 billion dollars a year in services revenue by like 20 30 years some year like that.
