The Power of Ownership

I think when we empower people with ownership of the land, they're motivated to keep it nice or to make it better. I've actually been rehabilitating a property for 15 years that a master gardener built this where I am now. And then he died in the house and what happened after him is the person who was here, their garbage was everywhere. So rehabilitating it from that and discovering what was even underneath all the garbage took a long time. The last five years, it's completely opened up. It's blooming now. But that's 15 years that it's taken just for one piece of land. That's a lot. Yeah.
